Little lies

Yesterday’s promises, assumptions of a truth availed of words I’ll use to write tomorrow’s little lies. Today’s intentions penned in seconds passed; the candor in a sunset testifying once and perishing as breath without an implication, so the verse I write today won’t read the same tonight when sunset lights the effigy of what I meant to tell you and the substance of my language bleeds away and dies, evanescent and unable to remain but as a scaffold of an instant now sincerely misinformed.
