Skipping time

Still life of the moment when tomorrow brings a random wind compelling edges nearer than they ought to be today, the glance of yesterdays in waiting on the turn of chance encounters weighed against decisions carried out, a portrait in an accidental confluence of light rays to accentuate the shadows where reflections of an instant took too long to frame the shot. And so from somewhere briefly captured in the flicker of eternities at shutter-speed an echoed preassurance hesitates in memories of jumping from the cusp and falling to regret, a fleeting image of an incidental morning gone astray and lost among the yesterdays where pressure builds to make a better choice. But in this moment frozen I still find no time to leap.
